Our Neighbor’s Night Out Block Party is making a return this year!! Be sure to mark your calendars to come enjoy a FREE night of food, fun, and entertainment with your Harvest Hills South neighbors!

Tuesday, September 14th 6PM – 8PM

NW 79th Street between Harvest Hills Rd and Harvest Hills S. Blvd. (We will be blocking off the street for this event)

Live Music – Returning once again, our favorite 737 Band!

  • Basketball
  • Tattoos
  • Street Chalk
  • Corn Hole
  • Photo Booth

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Army Worms!

Hello Neighbors,
I am not sure if you saw the news regarding Army Worms, but they can kill off your lawn in a matter of 48hrs. It is really bad in the Edmond area right now.

We had a neighbor here in Harvest Hills South that noticed them on their lawn and we wanted to let you know. He noticed them when he picked up a cushion that had blown off the bench. When he turned it over there were 15 of them.They have very small bright green babies.

They went over to TLC on NW Expressway and were told to purchase Cyonara and spray the yard. I have attached a picture of the container. It costs $23.99 for one quart. Do not let your pets or children in the yard while wet. If you are unsure if you have them, you can spray lemon dish soap on the yard and they should then surface.   We have included pictures of the worm so you can see if you have them in your yard.

OKC Event – Riversport World Party

Riversport Whitewater Center is hosting a World Party, and you’re invited!


We’re kicking off the Oklahoma PaddleSports Festival weekend with the ICF World Party on Friday, Aug. 20, followed by an adrenaline-fueled day of racing on Saturday, Aug. 21, that culminates in the 2021 ICF Canoe Sprint Super Cup at 8p – and we’re wrapping it all up with fireworks both nights. 

Join us for the ICF World Party – we have free and ticketed options – then spend Saturday watching Olympic and World Champions race on the Oklahoma River. They couldn’t have cheering crowds in Tokyo, so let’s give them all the cheers when they race in OKC!

We are starting our annual neighborhood membership drive!! You should have received a flyer in the past few days with information about becoming a member for 2021!

Big or small, your annual membership and donations make a difference in the neighborhood you live in!

Why should YOU be a member?

  • Being a member for $30/year helps keep your neighborhood a place you can be proud of!
  • We are working hard to clean up the entrances, with plans for new flowers, bushes, and lighting!
  • We pay for mowing and landscaping along out neighborhood borders!
  • We have neighborhood meetings and events for our neighbors to meet each other and enjoy fun activities!
    • The Neighbor’s Night Out block party is scheduled for September 14th!

Entrance Cleanup – Volunteer Opportunity

Our entrances are starting to look much better! A HUGE thank you to Neighborhood President Jaci Maguire, Jaci’s mom, Tom Maguire, Vic and Julie Hall, and Ron Kistler for pulling weeds, laying mulch, and making the 82nd street entrance look great!

Want to help? There is more work to be done at the other entrances. The crew is planning to work on the entrances at Harvest Hills Rd and McKee Blvd tomorrow, July 3rd!

New Board Members and May Meeting Recap

Our neighborhood meeting on May 18th was a great success! It was located in the parking lot of Northridge Elementary.

Master Sergeant Bob Skalla, from the OCPD Hefner Division, was our guest speaker. He spoke about various safety tips, including how to improve your situational awareness and creating a plan for crisis situations.

Board Members:

Election of Officers was held, and the following officers were elected for 2 years:

  • President – Jaci Maguire (Re-Elected)
  • 1st Vice President – Ron Kistler
  • 2nd Vice President – Jim Olson
  • Secretary – Karen Litteral
  • Treasurer – Victor Hall (Re-Elected)
  • Social Media – Krystle & Nate Cheatham
  • Block Captain Chairman – Linda Rains (Re-Elected to new position)

We are thankful for the hard work that our previous board members and volunteers contributed during these past two years.

Thank you to Tom Maguire, Stephanie Hiemstra, Linda Rains, Faith Stidman, Lisa-Ann Burger, Victor Hall, and Jaci Maguire for serving on our previous board. Several neighborhood members voiced projects and accomplishments that were appreciated during their tenure.

Announcements:

  • Our neighborhood garage sale is June 4-5, 2021. Each individual is responsible for their own permit. Proceeds stay with the homeowner.
  • Fundraisers for the HHSNA garage sale and possible dinners out at restaurants will be planned at a later date.
  • We are looking for volunteers to help with the entrance planning and maintenance.
  • Neighbors Night Out is planned for this year in September. More details will be provided as the date gets closer.

Dues are $30 per calendar year, and we are collecting them now. The mailing address is:
