Hi neighbors,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out because our neighborhood really needs your support right now. During our membership drive, several people committed to paying dues, but many of those funds still haven’t come in. As a result, we’re struggling to cover essential expenses like mowing and our post office box renewal.

We also have Neighbors Night Out coming up in September, and we would truly hate to cancel this event. It’s one of the best parts of living here, and it brings our community together. With 400 homes in our neighborhood, only a small portion of residents are currently supporting these efforts.

Your dues directly help maintain and improve our neighborhood. We’ve accomplished a lot over the years, and property values have increased because of the work we’ve done together. Dues are only $30 a year by check or $35 through PayPal, and every contribution makes a difference.

Right now, we’ve had to pull money from the entrance lighting fund just to keep up with mowing costs. This isn’t sustainable, and we need your help to get back on track.

We’re also looking for volunteers to join the Crime Patrol. Even one hour a week — or even once every two weeks or once a month — makes a huge difference. When we first started, we had 18 patrollers covering mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Now we’re down to just a few dedicated volunteers who have been quietly protecting the neighborhood for years. Several of our original patrollers have moved away or can no longer participate due to medical issues, and we’re really feeling the loss.

At the same time, we’ve seen an increase in people checking locked cars at night and taking packages or items from porches. Your help truly matters, and even a small amount of time can help keep our neighborhood safe.
